In the season of Advent, we are focusing on the preparation of Christ's second coming. In Lent, we also have preparation of Christ's coming, but in this case during Advent it is a time of holy joy. There are four weeks in which we focus on four "comings" during this time of Advent: the prophecy of Christ's birth, the coming of Christ in Bethlehem, Christ coming in the Word and Sacraments, and the coming of Christ in the end times.
